The park remains open for public between 05:30 (for Elephant safari) and from 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM (for Jeep safaris).
Forest guards can be hired from Baghori & Agaratoli gates. There are no fixed charges, and you can tip him anywhere between Rs. 50-200.
Reach half an hour before the scheduled safari time
If signing up for elephant safari, do follow all the instructions of the mahout
Though foreign currency is acceptable, it would be advisable to carry a reasonable sum of Indian money
Carry Binoculars and camera to enhance wildlife and bird watching experience
Foreign visitors should contact the tourist office to complete all the required formalities
Do consult forest authorities before moving to remote areas in Assam
