NRL Dedicates Park and Ride Facilities to the Tourists at the Kaziranga National Park

A tourist car parking facility and provision for clean drinking water has been developed by Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. (Ltd) in the Kaziranga National Park near the elephant riding point at western range Bagori as part of the social corporate activities. Tourists will be facilitated to enjoy and make the most out of their visit to Kaziranga National Park by undertaking the elephant safari from the opening day itself. (most probably November 1).
The inauguration of the facility took place on October 2 i.e., 150th Birth Anniversary of “Mahatma Gandhi” and the concluding day of “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign spearheaded by the Central Government which was honoured by NRL MD SK Barua in presence of a gathering of 250 people including Technical Director of NRL- BJ Phukan; Divisional Forest Officer, Eastern Assam Wildlife Division- Rohini Ballave Saikia; senior officials of NRL and Forest Department; prominent members of the civil society, representatives of Jeep Safari Association, KNP; Wildlife Trust of India, etc.
NRL managing director, S. K Barua, expressed willingness to take up more such development work in the future.
